Evan’s racing career started in 2011 with quarter midgets at MMRA (www.michiganmidgets.com), a track that has been a starting point for quite a few famous racers of today (NASCAR’s Brad Keselowski & Erik Jones). The family was participating in SCCA road racing at the Waterford Hills road course that year, and they took Evan and his brother Owen over to the small MMRA track for a test drive. That started Evan on a fast track to some very successful racing experiences.
STARTING LINE
Evan (and his brother Owen) started racing in 2011. Evan was older than most kids just starting quarter midgets, having just turned 11 (while most start at around 5 or 6). But, he wasted NO time in making up that lost ground, and quickly went from novice; to competitive; to dominant!
FAST TRACK
To do that – there was as much wheel time as we could squeeze in. From club racing, to regional & national racing. From indoor winter racing, to arena racing. With podium finishes and feature wins to show for all of them. His focus, dedication & passion for being behind the wheel has pushed him to the front of MANY races (even when his equipment didn’t want to take him there).
BIGGER & BETTER
Evan retired from quarter midgets after 4 years of amazing skill set growth. With 2 Midwest Thunder regional class championships to close out his final year – he proved he was ready to take on the next level of racing!
